Polish filmmaker Pawlikowski returns with Fatherland starring Sandra Huller, centring on the relationship between the writer Thomas Mann, played by Hanns Zischler, and his actress, journalist and rally driver daughter Erika, played by Huller, as they embark on a road trip across a Germany in ruins.
